Efficient system design
The seal designs and MELDIN® materials achieve ultra low leakage levels and low friction minimizing system energy losses. With consistent leakage levels over all operating conditions, a high level of precision in the cam angle adjustment can be achieved. With special designs of the cross section, the drag losses are also reduced.
Minimized assembly efforts
In contrast to PTFE, the MELDIN® rings assemble quickly and require no calibration to achieve specified performance levels. The material stiffness ensures the ring remains contained within the groove and therefore allows for immediate further assembly steps.

Durability in engine environments
The high durability demands of modern engines require proven materials such as MELDIN®. The susceptibility of soft-alloy components to wear excessively is solved by special designs and MELDIN® grades that can run against aluminum.
