Long lifetime with reduced warranty cost
Compared to other bearing types, our components withstand oscillatory movement, vibrations and impacts. Due to the high durability of the materials the bearings are designed for the life of the system. Special MELDIN® grades with tribological additives do not require external lubrication while other are optimized to run in lubricated environments such as cooling fluids or oils.
Efficient and quiet system design
With low coefficients of friction, also at low rotational speeds, the stick-slip effect is minimized giving an efficient start-up of movement. A smaller electric motor for reduced rotational forces can therefore be installed. The deployed MELDIN® grades dampen possible noises, reducing the risk of NVH-issues, which is of growing importance for electric and hybrid vehicles.
Reliable and precise guiding of the shaft
Our processing methods and tools ensure a high geometrical precision. The clearance between shaft and bearing is balanced so that there is no tipping or tilting of the shaft and the system can run without seizure under thermal influence. Where shaft alignment is a problem, bearings tolerant to edge loading can be designed.
