Thermal management plays a key role in the emission reduction, efficiency rate and prolonged driving distance on conventional combustion, hybrid and electrical vehicles. Its main function relates to the temperature control in the engine cooling system but also many other devices in the drive train such as turbo cooling, transmission cooling, gearbox and indoor temperature.
The thermal module is located close to the engine and therefore needs to work in a wide temperature range from -40°C to 160°C without leakage. Additionally, a very low friction and no stick-slip is required for the accurate control of the valve. Our Meldin® precise fit, injection-molded seals and Rulon® seals reduce and control the leakage rate over this wide temperature range, ensuring our customers that the consumers they serve are safe on the road.
